What can you share on IndieNew?
IndieNew is a Chinese and English product discovery and launch community for independent developers, small teams and people exploring new products. Introduce a website, app, AI tool or another creation, link to the product and talk with its users.
If you are looking for a place to launch, browse existing products to see whether this format fits your product and audience. Your product page explains what you have built and gathers feedback; it complements your own documentation, support and website.
1. Prepare a useful product description
Start with one sentence explaining who the product is for, the problem it solves and what a user can accomplish. Then describe its main features, a concrete use case and current limitations. “Turn meeting recordings into an editable action list” is more useful than “a powerful productivity tool.”
Prepare a working website link, real screenshots, product type and category, supported languages and a question you want feedback on. Explain supported platforms and the actual free or paid scope. Label unreleased features clearly and avoid presenting mockups or unverified usage figures as delivered results.
You can prepare Chinese and English descriptions. Both should accurately describe the same product. Improve the language you have first rather than publishing an inaccurate translation just to fill every field.
2. Sign in, save a draft and submit for review
Create an account and verify your email, then open the submission editor to enter your product details and save a draft. Check the title, link and screenshots, remove private information and submit for review. Your account shows the current product allowance and available actions.
Saving a draft does not publish it. After submission, check the review result and workspace status. If changes are needed, follow the specific feedback and resubmit. The public product page shows the approved version; editing a later draft does not directly replace it.
3. Share your product page and collect feedback
After approval, link to your public product page from your website, release notes or a relevant community introduction and identify the maker. Chinese and English descriptions have their own URLs. Ask a specific feedback question, such as whether a first-time user can identify the next step.
Update descriptions and screenshots using real feedback and make limitations clear. Favorites and comments reflect on-site interaction, not signups, revenue or universal satisfaction. If a product is removed or withdrawn, its public page may become unavailable; check links you have shared elsewhere.
Common questions before publishing
Does publishing cost money? Product submissions and community participation are free, and publishing requires review. See the pricing page for Plus tools, availability and plans. A purchase does not guarantee approval, placement, traffic or revenue.
Will search engines or AI assistants find the product immediately? Public pages can be crawled, but search platforms decide whether to index, when to update and what to cite. Successful publication and search indexing are different states, with no promise of immediate inclusion or ranking.
