1. Operator and scope
IndieNew is operated by an individual based in China, trading as IndieNew. Legal name: xiangzihao. Production domain: indienew.com. Business contact address: [to be completed]. Support and privacy email: xluk2771670458@gmail.com. This draft does not represent company incorporation or Paddle approval.
Once effective, these terms apply to the IndieNew website, free community and Plus software. Paid orders are also subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms shown at checkout; applicable Paddle transaction terms govern payment, billing and transaction refunds. Nothing in these terms or any agreement reduces your non-waivable legal rights.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. If acting for an organization, you must be authorized to do so. Provide accurate account details, protect your credentials, do not impersonate others, and do not share or resell personal subscription access. Contact us promptly if you discover unauthorized access.
You are responsible for content you submit and activity you authorize on your account. Our responsibility for security incidents remains subject to applicable law; an incident occurring on your account does not by itself exclude our responsibility.
3. Service scope and beta access
Free features include discovery, favorites, submissions, maker profiles and community feedback. Plus provides the analytics, links, exports, bilingual copy, planning and retrospective tools described on our product page. Access is limited to products you are authorized to manage, and beta access lasts for its granted term.
Beta access does not create a paid subscription or authorize automatic charges. The promotion preview does not run campaigns or sell advertising. We do not promise publication approval, editorial selection, traffic, signups or business revenue.
4. Your content and license
You retain rights to your descriptions, screenshots, comments and other content and must have the rights needed to submit and license it. You grant us a non-exclusive license limited to storing, processing, reviewing, displaying and providing the service. Uploading a draft does not automatically publish it; publication and review status control public display.
Necessary service providers may receive limited access to operate the service. This license does not authorize standalone sale of your content or use of private drafts for unrelated promotion. Deletion or removal ends the relevant public display, while backups, dispute evidence and legally required retention may continue. Copies already obtained by third parties are not fully under our control.
5. Acceptable use and moderation
Do not submit unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, malicious, harassing or unauthorized personal content; manipulate favorites or analytics; send spam; bypass access controls or limits; disrupt the service; or access other accounts without authorization. Product destinations and descriptions must be accurate and must not imply false endorsement.
We may use automated checks and human review, request edits, reject publication, remove content or restrict accounts. Unless legal, security or anti-abuse needs prevent it, we will explain the reason and accept appeals through our contact channel. Editorial selection depends on content quality; payment does not change review standards.
6. Proposed prices, renewals and Paddle
Proposed Plus pricing is USD 12 per month or USD 120 per year. Annual billing is one yearly charge; USD 10 per month is an equivalent only. Applicable taxes are itemized unless expressly included at checkout. Final currency, total and billing period are shown before payment confirmation. There are no traffic overage charges or default promotion add-ons.
Once enabled, our order process is intended to be handled by our authorized online reseller Paddle, acting as Merchant of Record for payment, relevant transaction taxes, receipts and transaction support. IndieNew provides the software and product support. Live checkout is not connected and there are no active Paddle subscriptions today.
A 7-day free trial is planned and requires a payment method. Automatic billing starts after the trial unless canceled beforehand. Reference regional prices are GBP 8/month or GBP 80/year in the UK, EUR 10/month or EUR 100/year in Ireland, and AUD 16/month or AUD 160/year in Australia. Eligibility, taxes and final totals are confirmed at Paddle checkout.
The proposed subscription renews automatically each month or year until canceled. Trial access starts after confirmation from the payment service, followed by paid billing after the trial. Contact product support if payment succeeds but access is missing. Price changes will be notified at least 30 days before an affected renewal, allowing cancellation before the new price applies. Paid periods will not be repriced retroactively.
7. Cancellation, expiry and refunds
After paid launch, cancel renewal through the subscription-management link in your Paddle receipt or Paddle buyer support, or contact IndieNew for assistance. Complete cancellation before the next charge; it normally takes effect at the end of the paid period. Deleting an account or product, or stopping use, is not subscription cancellation.
On expiry, free community features remain. Analytics and analytics CSV access end; existing copy, named versions, plans and retrospectives remain readable, copyable and exportable, while Plus editing and new link creation stop. Enabled links can continue redirecting and collecting events and may still be disabled. Retention is subject to the privacy policy. A full refund ends the corresponding paid access.
Our proposed voluntary policy allows a full refund of each initial or renewal payment requested within 14 calendar days. Cancellation does not automatically request a refund; see the refund policy for details and exceptions. Statutory rights and any higher protection under applicable Paddle terms remain unaffected.
8. Third parties and analytics
Product destinations, third-party login providers and Paddle have their own terms and privacy rules. IndieNew does not use its Paddle account to collect or settle payments for other makers. Analytics reflect observable on-platform events, not advertising-platform certification, audited results or proof of off-site conversion.
9. Service changes, termination and responsibility
We will maintain the service with reasonable care but do not promise uninterrupted availability or error-free data. Maintenance, provider failures and security incidents may affect access. If we permanently discontinue paid service or materially remove purchased core features, we will give reasonable advance notice and arrange an appropriate refund for the unprovided remaining period.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or lost-profit damages that were not reasonably foreseeable, or third-party product performance. We do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from fraud, intent or gross negligence, or statutory consumer remedies.
10. Governing law, changes and contact
For the software-service relationship between you and IndieNew, the proposed governing law is that of mainland China, without excluding mandatory consumer protections applicable where you reside. Disputes may first be discussed with us and, if unresolved, brought before a court with lawful jurisdiction. Transactions between Paddle and buyers are governed by their applicable transaction terms.
Material changes will be notified reasonably in advance through the service or email, with renewed agreement where legally required. New terms will not retroactively reduce refund rights for completed transactions. Chinese and English versions are intended to express the same terms; interpretation differences cannot reduce mandatory rights. Use our contact page for product, moderation and contract questions.
