Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refund timing, how to request help and what happens when you cancel renewal.

Updated September 11, 2026

Draft policies · not yet effective. Business contact address and production data hosting details remain to be completed. Paid subscriptions are closed; paid terms describe the proposed launch policy. An effective date will be published separately.

1. Scope and current status

This draft is intended for future IndieNew Plus software subscriptions purchased through Paddle. Purchases are closed, with no live charges or refundable Plus orders today. Free Community features, beta grants and promotion previews create no payments; third-party product purchases are outside this policy.

2. Proposed 14-day full refund policy

Once effective, our proposed policy will allow a full refund of an initial payment or any renewal requested within 14 calendar days, for both monthly and annual plans. Ordinary eligibility will not require that you never logged in or used a feature. This is IndieNew’s proposed voluntary commitment, not an automatic refund guarantee by Paddle for every transaction.

After that window, changing your mind, no longer using the service or forgetting to cancel normally does not qualify for a prorated refund. Duplicate charges, charges after timely cancellation, non-delivery or material defects may still be raised outside the ordinary change-of-mind window; statutory rights are always preserved.

3. How to request a refund

After a live purchase, use the support link in your Paddle receipt or visit paddle.net to request a refund. You may also contact IndieNew support at xluk2771670458@gmail.com for verification and submission to Paddle. Include purchase email, order or transaction ID, payment date and the issue. An explanation helps troubleshooting but is not an additional condition for an ordinary 14-day refund.

Do not send full card numbers, passwords or security codes. If you cannot identify a charge as IndieNew, ask Paddle to verify the transaction. Contacting support does not limit your lawful right to dispute a charge with a bank or payment provider.

4. Processing, payment timing and access

Paddle processes refunds as Merchant of Record. We will assist with requests that meet this policy, normally to the original payment method. Processing deadlines follow applicable law and Paddle’s refund rules; banks and payment methods may affect when funds appear. Support confirmation is not the same as funds reaching your account.

A full refund ends the corresponding paid Plus access, and renewal of the related subscription should also stop; both outcomes will be confirmed in the live billing process. The free account and retention, reading and export of existing content follow the terms and privacy policy. Requesting a refund does not automatically delete products.

5. Cancellation and refunds are different

After a live purchase, cancel using the Paddle subscription-management link in your receipt or Paddle buyer support; contact IndieNew if you need help. Cancellation prevents future charges and normally preserves access until the paid period ends, without automatically returning past payments. Request a refund separately if that is what you need.

After expiry, the free community remains available and existing launch copy, versions, plans and retrospectives remain readable and exportable; analytics access and Plus editing end. Deleting an account, product or email does not cancel a subscription. The current beta has no renewal charges to cancel.

6. Consumer rights and exceptions

This policy does not exclude legal withdrawal, cancellation, defect-remedy or refund rights, or reduce higher protection under applicable Paddle terms. Where rights differ, the higher protection to which you are entitled applies. Use of a digital service is not treated as a blanket waiver of statutory rights.

Evidence of fraud or refund abuse may be investigated, but subjective suspicion alone does not remove statutory refund rights. Service discontinuation or failure to deliver paid core features will be addressed through repair or an appropriate refund under applicable rules.
